About the Course
This course is designed for registered nurses from all specialties. It offers a supportive, international learning environment. You will learn alongside nurses from around the world who are at various stages of their careers. You will develop your awareness of different cultural approaches and ways of working.
Nursing & Health means you will gain an excellent grounding in the UK’s four Pillars of Practice:
- clinical practice
- education
- leadership
- research and development
You will consider the challenges and opportunities associated with nursing practice. There will be many opportunities to discuss and debate. This will cover contemporary issues and the evidence base. You will discuss these topics with fellow nurses, lecturers, other student groups, and topic experts. This will done during lectures, tutorials, and other timetabled sessions.
You may have the option of completing a two-week observational workplace experience. This will take place in a healthcare environment.
Nursing Career Opportunities
You can progress into various careers in clinical practice, nurse education, and research. You will have developed the knowledge and skills to enable you to develop as a leader in a changing healthcare landscape.
International students will have the opportunity to seek nursing employment in the UK. To be able to do this, you will apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). The stages of the application include a Computer Based Test (CBT), an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and admission
Fees and Scholarships
- £ 23,000 GBP, Per year of study, Tuition fees for International students will increase by no more than 5% per year for the length of your course.
- Scholarships: Available for this course £ 10,500
